Berhampur University, on the 18th of February, marked the third day of the 37th Inter University East Zone Youth Festival, titled “UMANG.” The day was filled with spirited performances from various universities across the region, showcasing their diverse talents across ten categories, held in six different venues.At the Sports Stadium of Berhampur University, the first half witnessed a captivating group song competition in the Western category, with universities demonstrating their musical prowess. Later, in the second half, the venue transformed into a vibrant arena for the Folk Tribal Dance competition, attracting participants from thirteen universities.Meanwhile, at the Biju Pattanaik Auditorium, an artistic display unfolded with the Mime competition, featuring talented contestants from eight universities showcasing their creative expressions.In the serene ambiance of the open-air Bhanja Mandapa, nine universities mesmerized the audience with soul-stirring Classical Instrumental solos during the morning session, followed by enchanting Classical Vocal solos by thirteen universities in the afternoon, infusing the Berhampur University campus with the joyous essence of classical melodies.The New Conference Hall echoed with intellectual fervor as students from twelve universities engaged in elocution, exhibiting their profound insights. Later in the day, six universities engaged in a battle of knowledge during the final round of the quiz competition, captivating the audience with their intellect.In the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, thirteen universities participated in the Rangoli competition, adding vibrant hues to the festival atmosphere.The School of Education served as the venue for the Installation competition, where nine universities showcased their creativity, while the Commerce Seminar Hall witnessed a collage competition featuring ten universities.As the evening descended, the performances from West Bengal and Odisha’s universities captivated the hearts of the audience, concluding another successful day of cultural celebration at Berhampur University.
