Berhampur,21st Mar 2025: The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (ISER) Berhampur is hosting a pivotal two-day meeting between all IISERs and the University of Buffalo, the State University of New York, USA, on “Convergence of Multifunctional Materials, Photonies, Bioscience, and Artificial Intelligence” (MPBA-2025) at its main campus on March 20 & 21. 2025. There will be the signing of a Cooperation Agreement for joint multi-institutional research and training between all IISERs and the University of Buffalo, USA, on the 2nd day of this event on March 21. 2025. The objective of this agreement is to establish a multiparty collaborative framework for long-term multi-institutional and international collaboration in educational and research fields that are compatible with the orientation and mission of each institution, and that are relevant to the academic, scientific, industrial, social, and cultural interests and needs of the respective countries. This Cooperation Agreement will pave the way to plan in future details to undertake joint research and training of students and researchers in basic sciences covering Physics. Chemistry, Materials Science, Bioscience, and related areas to meet 21st-century challenges in energy, environment, healthcare, agriculture, and security. The Institutions will discuss innovative new models for student exchange and recruiting Master’ and PhD students.
The ceremony will be graced by distinguished dignitaries, each a leader in their respective fields. including Prof. Ashok K Ganguli: Director IISER Berhampur, Prof. Anil Kumar Tripathi: Director IISER Mohali, Prof. Santanu Bhattacharya: Director lISER Tirupati, Prof Sunil S Bhagwat: Director IISER Pune, and Prof. Paras K.
