Indore/Shillong, June 9 – In a shocking case of alleged premeditated murder, Sonam Raghuvanshi, a newlywed woman from Indore, along with three others, has been arrested for the brutal killing of her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi, during their honeymoon in Meghalaya. The murder, allegedly planned and executed with the help of contract killers, has sparked widespread outrage and calls for a CBI probe.

According to Meghalaya Police, Sonam hired four contract killers to eliminate her husband. Three of them, including the alleged mastermind Raj Kushwaha, have been arrested, while one remains absconding. Raj Kushwaha, reportedly Sonam’s former boyfriend, worked at her father’s factory and is suspected of orchestrating the murder.

Raja and Sonam were married on May 11 and had left for their honeymoon on May 20. Raja was reported missing on May 23, and after extensive search efforts, his body was found in a deep gorge in Meghalaya on June 2. Police believe Raja was lured to a remote location and then murdered in cold blood.

Sonam was found days later at a roadside dhaba in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, after she contacted her family. Upon surrendering, she was taken into custody and is currently being interrogated.

The police are also probing Sonam’s past relationship with Kushwaha, which is believed to be a key motive behind the murder. However, Sonam’s family has rejected the police’s version of events and accused the Meghalaya Police of a cover-up. They are demanding an independent investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

As the investigation unfolds, the case continues to draw national attention due to its gruesome nature and the shocking betrayal involved.
