Berhampur, March 26: The Odisha Vigilance on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids at five locations linked to Sri Panchu Behera, SDO of Daha Irrigation Sub-Division under Bhanjanagar Irrigation Division, in Ganjam district, over allegations of possession of disproportionate assets.
The searches were carried out by a team comprising three DSPs, seven Inspectors, and other staff, based on search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur.
The raids covered his triple-storeyed residence at Basant Vihar and a relative’s house at Bima Nagar in Berhampur, a government quarter and office chamber at Bhanjanagar, and his ancestral house at Polasara.
Search operations were underway till the filing of this report, and further details are awaited.
