Berhampur,25th January 2024 :P. G. Department of Political Science in collaboration with NSS celebrated National Voter’s Day at Berhampur University and organised a community outreach programme to spread awareness about voting rights. The Coordinator of the P. G. Department of Political Science Dr. Rajesh Seth along with other faculties led the students to the nearby adopted villages of the University. Students campaigned with posters and banners to aware voters about their rights and their role in strengthening democracy. Dr. Shankarsan Malik, programme officer of NSS, Berhampur University guided the students to interact with the locals to make them aware about the judicious use of votes. Shri Sanjaya Meher, Asst. Professor of P. G.
Department of Political Science, conducted the observation of pledge by the students in front of the Administrative Block of the University. Large number of students enthusiastically participated in the event.
Dr. Sharada Prasanna Rout, Dr. Soumendra Kumar Mohanty and Dr. Kirtimayee Routraya are other faculty members who coordinated the event successfully.
