Bhubaneswar, April 6:
In a significant development for higher education in the state, the Hon’ble Chancellor of Odisha has appointed Vice Chancellors for 14 universities, as per an official press release issued from Lok Bhavan on Tuesday.
Exercising powers under the Odisha Universities Act, 1989, and the Odisha University Act, 2017, the Chancellor approved the appointments aimed at strengthening academic leadership across key institutions.
The newly appointed Vice Chancellors include:
Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy for Fakir Mohan University, Prof. Arka Kumar Das Mohapatra for Ravenshaw University, and Prof. Chandi Prasad Nanda for Utkal University.
In addition, Prof. Sanjaya Kumar Patro has been appointed for Dharanidhar University, Prof. Byomakesh Tripathy for Gangadhar Meher University, and Prof. Asima Sahu for Khallikote Unitary University.
Prof. Pawan Kumar Agrawal will head Maa Manikeshwari University, while Prof. Sibaram Tripathy has been appointed for Madhusudan Law University. Prof. Mahendra Kumar Mohanty will serve as Vice Chancellor of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University.
Further, Prof. Bibhuti Bhusan Malik has been appointed for Rajendra University, Prof. Jyotsna K.B. Rout for Rama Devi Women’s University, and Prof. Prabhat Kumar Mohapatra for Shree Jagannath Sanskrit University.
Prof. Hrushikesh Senapaty will lead Vikram Dev University, and Prof. Satyanarayan Acharya has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Odia University.
The Chancellor extended his best wishes to all newly appointed Vice Chancellors, expressing confidence that their leadership will play a crucial role in shaping the future of higher education in Odisha.
