₹50 Lakh Collected as Stall Rent in Berhampur Civic Drive

Berhampur, April 24: The Brahmapur Municipal Corporation(BeMC) has collected a total of ₹50,00,868 as stall rent during a 15-day enforcement drive conducted from April 10 to April 24.
As part of the initiative, 18 shops across different areas were sealed for non-payment of dues. Subsequently, 12 of these establishments were reopened after the pending rent was cleared.
Officials stated that the enforcement drive will continue in the coming days. Authorities have also warned that traders who fail to clear outstanding dues even after sealing action may face cancellation of their contracts. Additionally, details of such defaulters are likely to be made public, with further steps expected to be taken in the coming week.
