Berhampur University marked National Science Day with a special event organized by the Department of Physics in collaboration with the Brick Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar. The celebration took place in the university’s new conference hall under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Professor Geetanjali Dash, who inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
The program commenced with a warm welcome by Professor Yogeshwar Panigrahi, followed by an introduction of the distinguished guests by Professor Siddharth Shankar Panda. Professor Puneet Prasad Saha from the Brick Institute of Life Sciences delivered a keynote address highlighting the significance of scientific research. Additionally, Professor Tusharkant Beuria engaged postgraduate students and research scholars with an inspiring speech on the life and contributions of renowned scientists like Louis Pasteur.
As a token of appreciation, Professor Geetanjali Dash felicitated the esteemed guests. Outstanding postgraduate students who actively participated in various National Science Day activities were also recognized and awarded for their contributions.
In her address, Professor Dash shared insights into the university’s future research initiatives and developmental plans. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Aditya Kumar Panda, bringing the successful celebration to a close.
