Bhubaneswar, April 1: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday inaugurated a new visa application centre operated by VFS Global in Bhubaneswar, enhancing access to international travel services for people of Odisha.
Located at the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Bus Terminal, the centre will offer visa services for ten countries in its first phase, including the UK, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, Japan and others.
The Chief Minister said the facility reflects Odisha’s growing global connectivity and will boost tourism, industry, and ease of travel. He noted that residents earlier had to travel to Kolkata for visa applications.
The centre, set up with state government support, is expected to expand services to more countries in the coming months. Senior officials and representatives from partner countries attended the inauguration.
