The Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) has stepped up its rent collection drive against defaulters, yielding significant results across the city.
In a notable incident at P Market, a defaulting shop was sealed in the presence of the Tehsildar and Executive Magistrate. However, within ten minutes of the enforcement action, the rentee cleared all outstanding dues, prompting authorities to reopen the shop immediately.

Civic authorities have asserted that the enforcement campaign will continue in the coming days to ensure timely payment of dues and improve revenue collection.
